Solihull Play town was born when husband and wife, Paul and Celine realised that the local area lacked play centres for their young family. Both Paul and Celine are trained and experienced Primary School teachers. Celine has a wealth of experience of working in the Early Years sector and was the Early Years Foundation Stage leader for many years at a local primary school.
In this role, she helped to plan and develop a child-based curriculum that enabled all children to develop and grow at their own pace. She has also led an English Department whilst working on the Senior Management Team of a local school. In this role she helped to develop the literacy and language skills of children across a range of key stages so has a first-hand understanding of just how important early imaginative play can be.
Based on this wealth of experience, Solihull Play Town has been carefully designed to encompass all seven areas of the Early Years Framework. We all know that children learn best when it is through play and our space enables children to develop and extend their imaginations.
There are ample opportunities for them to explore early numbers, shapes and letters. They can develop both their fine and gross motor skills through manipulating our resources, all whilst engaging in language-rich games and activities alongside their peers. Our space really has been carefully designed to bring out the best in your child and to enable them to experience new and exciting adventures.
